The short version: Alabama (6-2, No. 9) visits LSU (6-2, No. 15) at 2:30 PM local in Death Valley. Both teams have two losses, so the loser likely drops out of the playoff picture.

ALA	QB Keelon Russell	2,057 pass yards, 15 TD
ALA	WR Lotzeir Brooks	488 rec. yards
ALA	LB Caleb Woodson	63 tackles
LSU	QB Sam Leavitt	2,173 pass yards, 17 TD
LSU	RB Dilin Jones	657 rush yards
LSU	WR Jackson Harris	634 rec. yards

Season stats as of Nov. 1 from AP, ESPN and official team pages.

What to watch for

• A QB duel. Russell and Leavitt are both over 2,000 passing yards.
• LSU’s offense at home. The Tigers average 40-plus points a game.
• Playoff stakes. A third loss would hurt either team.

Watch-party menu

• LSU side: a pot of gumbo or jambalaya, with boudin balls.
• Bama side: Alabama white-sauce barbecue chicken.
• Timing: a 3:30 ET kickoff fits a late lunch spread.

Hosting a watch party? A slow cooker keeps the main dish warm all game, and party platters make serving easy. Keep drinks cold in a cooler so nobody misses a play. Hang a LSU Tigers flag or an Alabama Crimson Tide flag for the house divided, and a soundbar helps you hear the crowd.

Part 2: Traveling to the Game

Gates and entry

All Tiger Stadium gates open 2 hours before kickoff. Premium areas open 3 hours before.

Bag policy

• Clear tote up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches.
• Medical exceptions apply. See the official stadium policies page.

Parking and tailgating

• Most reserved lots open at 7 AM on game day. Most RV lots open at 6 PM Friday.
• Tailgate setup starts at 5 PM Thursday on the outer edges of campus and 4:30 PM Friday in the interior of campus.
• Don’t block walkways, access routes or permit spaces.

Where to eat and stay

Hotels in downtown Baton Rouge and near campus go fast for Alabama weekend. Look along the I-10 corridor too.

Weather

Baton Rouge in early November is usually mild, but check the forecast for rain. Check the National Weather Service forecast the day before.

Rules can change. Check the official athletics site during game week.

What to pack

Driving in? A phone mount and a car charger keep the directions running, and car games for kids help on a long drive. Flying in? A neck pillow helps on the flight, and a packable rain poncho fits in a pocket.

At the stadium: Pack a clear stadium bag that fits the 12 x 6 x 12 limit. Bring a seat cushion for the bleachers and a portable power bank so your phone ticket doesn’t die.

Tailgating: Set up a 10×10 canopy (most lots cap tents at that size), some folding chairs and a cornhole set. Where the rules allow it, a portable propane grill takes care of lunch. Rep your team with LSU Tigers gear or Alabama Crimson Tide gear.

Places near the stadium
